INTERNATIONAL BANKING DIVISION The International Banking Division is the nerve centre of our clients’ international business requirements. Resourced by dedicated and fully committed staff, the division’s mission is to work with MBCA bank clients and MBCA Bank’s Corporate and Institutional Banking Division to offer professional assistance to the growth of the clients’ businesses. It is divided into three specialist areas namely Exchange Control, Imports Section (all outward foreign currency payments) and Exports Section (all Inward foreign currency receipts) to provide clarity of functions and to strategically position itself to meet the clients’ needs and expectations. The Exchange Control Section is the hub of all exchange control advice to clients, the communication centre for the bank and clients’ Reserve bank exchange control requirements, processing of export incentives, processing documents for approval by Reserve bank, registration of external loans and credit lines with the central bank, and exchange control compliance issues. The Imports Section is responsible for all outward foreign currency payments for the bank’s clients. This includes SWIFT transfers, foreign drafts, foreign guarantees and import letters of credit, documents on collection inward and foreign currency account payments. The Exports Section was established to process exporting clients receipts, business and holiday travel allowance applications, receipt of foreign cash and drafts, export guarantees and letters of credit, disbursement of travellers’ cheques and foreign bills sent for collections. The primary focus for these units is to offer quality to clients in their respective areas by delivering efficient, friendly and prompt service and to always ensure total customer satisfaction in their day to day dealings with the Bank.
